The Old Town of Marbella, essential routes from Puerto Azul (1st part)

We will enjoy an itinerary that starts from the Puerto Azul Aparthotel and takes us to the Old Town of Marbella. This visit can be done at any time of the year but it is highly recommended to do it in the spring when the days are longer with pleasant temperatures and the smell of the orange blossom blooms in the streets.

We start from Aparthotel Puerto Azul's direct beach access and we take left and start walking along the Beach Promenade. A few meters away we reach the Glorieta de la Fontanilla where we can find our own Fountain of Venus gliding over the water on water skis.

Just behind it lays the Tourism Office, where your questions will be attended. From here we can turn again to the left to visit the Parque de la Constitución (Constitution Park), a beautiful, quiet and very well-kept green area in the heart of the urban area that will delight lovers of tranquility and the freshness of the trees.

Returning to our Venus we continue following the promenade and its various restaurants until you see the Faro de Marbella (Lighthouse of Marbella), in front of which is the emblematic Puerto Deportivo (Leisure Harbour), an enclosure that has been won in beauty over the years and where you can take a pleasant walk between its lively terraces and its pontoons full of boats.

We continue our route again along the Paseo, parallel to the beach until we come to a large stairway that leads to the pedestrian Avenida del Mar (Sea Avenue), a meeting place for visitors and citizens, to stroll around. Its central part houses a permanent exhibition of ten sculptures in bronze emerged from the imagination of the brilliant artist Salvador Dalí and two other sculptures by Eduardo Soriano.
